for thoughts too interesting to lose

i’ve always been the kind of person who saves things.

not in a hoarding way; maybe more in a “this might matter to me later” kind of way.

my camera roll is full of blurry photos taken from car windows, screenshots with zero context, cafés i like/loved (mostly mine), stuff i thought was designed beautifully, tabs i meant to come back to, and random moments i was scared i’d forget if i didn’t keep them somewhere. sometimes i save things without even knowing why. i just know i want to remember how they felt.

i think this blog is an extension of that. you’d probably wonder why i’m not starting with my substack, but i’m not sure either. maybe because the blog seems more low pressure.

a place for all the thoughts, obsessions, ideas, media, and tiny observations that sit in my head for longer than they probably should.

the things i bring up repeatedly in conversations. the things i accidentally build entire personalities around for two weeks. the things i consider beautiful are for very specific reasons.

i spend an unreasonable amount of time thinking about things like how spaces affect people, why certain songs feel like specific times of day, what makes something feel warm or nostalgic, why the internet made everyone a curator, and how some moments become important so quietly you don’t notice until much later.

sometimes i think my brain is just a mix of breakfast ideas, unfinished projects, internet culture, visual references, emotional attachment to objects, overly romanticised ordinary moments, and tabs permanently left open for emotional support.

this blog is basically where all of that goes now.

not because any of it is particularly important, but because i like the idea of keeping things. thoughts too interesting to lose. moments worth sitting with a little longer. evidence that i was here, noticing things.

so, welcome to pickledbraincore i guess.
